As an interprofessional organization, we are dedicated to supporting Interprofessional Education activities and initiatives.
Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice
We work closely with the Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPEP; formerly Office of Interprofessional Health Education and Research – IPHER) to promote interprofessional activities and workshops to students in our affiliated programs. Regular progress reports are provided to the IPEP Steering Committee.
Interprofessional Panel for Year 1 Nursing Students
For several years, we have organized an interprofessional panel on stroke care for Year 1 nursing students in the Western-Fanshawe Collaborative Nursing Program.
Interprofessional Education Day
Members of our board of directors have participated as facilitators for Western’s annual Interprofessional Education Day.
Naloxone Workshops
In collaboration with other student groups on campus, we have hosted several naloxone awareness and training workshops facilitated by experts from the Middlesex-London Health Unit.
