ASPIRE About

About

Our Story

ASPIRE began in Spring 2016 when students from the medical faculty at Western University met to discuss the common goal of establishing a student-led organization that would work to improve the health status of underserved populations in the London community.

Since then, we have endeavoured to both develop connections with students from health professions programs outside of medicine and establish partnerships with existing community organizations that provide health services to underserved populations in London. As of the end of 2017, we have established our first Governance Board, including representatives from medicine, nursing, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and food & nutrition.

Our Vision

Our vision is to enhance the health and wellness of underserved and marginalized populations in the City of London through a student-led, interprofessional non-profit organization that will focus on health promotion for the community and service-based learning for students.
